LittleBigPlanet almost had DLC based on the iconic Steamboat Willie animation from 1928.

A pitch level for this DLC was found in the LBP1 deploy build and there were 3 iterations, the first of which is very basic, having just the ship from the animation and a very old youtube screenshot on the right for reference.

The second iteration is more finalized and includes a more completed boat, a custom pete object and oddly enough, an unused wind element.

The third iteration, willy final.bin flips the orientation from the second level and also has a broken grabbing element.

Obviously nothing came of this pitch as we didn’t get the DLC, but now that Steamboat Willie is public domain, maybe next time, right?
